What make you a Tough Chik: In the last 2 years I have lost over 135 pounds and still going.  Along this journey I found running and it has given me an outlet I  only dreamed about.    There is nothing I feel like I can’t do after a run and that feeling is unmatchable!

What make you a Tough Chik: Where to start… Joined the Army at 17, raised a child on my own, always up for new things, to include fire, mud and barbed wire! I love running and enjoy swimming…hoping cycling becomes easier in time. I have 2 kids, 15 years apart. I am a computer nerd by trade, but my heart belongs to exercise science! I am a Certified Health Fitness Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and have been working full time and balancing family with finishing a Bachelors of Exercise & Sport Science – Minor in Health Promotion. Being tough isn’t just physical.
